Free Resources to Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of GI Nurses and Associates Week

“This annual celebration is a tribute to our hardworking community, and we encourage you to spread positivity and generosity among your colleagues.”

The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) celebrates the 10th annual GI Nurses and Associates Week next week.

The commemoration begins Sunday, March 19 and lasts through Saturday, March 25.

“While so much remains uncertain and out of our control, it is our hope that you feel empowered to take control over the quality of care you provide, in the attitude you bring to your jobs and in your professional journey,” the SGNA says on its website. “This annual celebration is a tribute to our hardworking community, and we encourage you to spread positivity and generosity among your colleagues.”

Gastroenterology nurses, also often referred to as endoscopy nurses, care for patients with known or suspected issues in their gastrointestinal tracts and digestive systems. They take part in the assessment, planning, and implementation of endoscopic and GI procedures.

SGNA compiled a list of free resources to help your department celebrate the GI nurses on staff:

SGNA is a professional organization dedicated to the safe and effective practice of gastroenterology and endoscopy nursing. It provides education, training and evidence-based gastroenterology practice documents to more than 56,000 members to enable optimal patient care.
